Olga's Fashion Design
About Me
Hello, I'm Olga
I began my career almost thirty years ago after completing my degree in apparel design at the Fashion Institute of Technology in St. Petersburg, Russia. My first job was as a pattern maker at the only fashion house in St. Petersburg. After my daughter was born, I became a teacher and taught pattern making and sewing techniques at the local sewing school.
In 1991, my family emigrated to America and settled in Stamford, Connecticut. In order to spend more time with my children, I started my own custom dressmaking business from home. Thus, Olga’s Fashion Design was founded in 1993.
Since then, I have been making custom wedding gowns, bridesmaid gowns, mother-of-the-bride gowns, flower girl dresses, business wear, and everyday wear. I also do home décor and smaller projects such as simple alterations. To keep things interesting I’ve also taken on special projects such as creating 15 x 50’ banners for the World Wrestling Federation pay-per-view events and custom sails for sailboats. Whatever you need, I will find a way to create it and guarantee you will leave happy.
